Is This Fasterproms-Tuned Cadillac ATS-V The Fastest In The World? – Video

A comparison we’ve thrown around the office quite a bit is the sleek Cadillac ATS-V versus the bold sixth-gen Chevrolet Camaro ZL1. Aside from the option to have two more doors and a bit more comfort, I personally couldn’t imagine why anyone would opt for the ATS-V over the ZL1, especially when you could get a brand new ZL1 for the cost of a used ATS-V.
Then we saw this video.
Now, there’s never been any question that the ATS-V could make for a perfectly fun-yet-livable daily driver, but there’s so much more performance to be had right out of the box with the ZL1 and its supercharged 6.2-liter LT4 V8 over the ATS-V’s less-powerful 3.6-liter LF4 twin-turbocharged V6. But tuning firm Fasterproms has stepped in to show that the ATS-V can easily hold its own with some bolt-on modifications and clever tuning. In fact, this very ATS-V ran a 10.7-second quarter-mile pass at 130.64 miles per hour, allegedly making it the fastest ATS-V in the world. All that capability, and it’s still used as a daily driver.
Our favorite component of the Fasterproms package would have to be the downpipes. We’ve heard modified LF4 exhaust notes before, thanks to Renick Performance, Lingenfelter Performance, and D3 Cadillac, but not one of them quite comes close to the rumble of the Fasterprom ATS-V.
Go ahead and watch Cleetus McFarland give the Fasterproms ATS-V a speedy test drive, and then let us know if you think a modified ATS-V can be just as enjoyable as a factory ZL1 – even if it is more expensive.

I DO NOT give a crap….the ATS-V is ugly anyway.
Rye, agreed. They keep posting these articles about modded Cadillacs doing speed tests, who cares? The ATS-V is a trashed-out version of the ATS, and the ATS is not a real Cadillac in the first place. Cadillac is supposed to be a nice ride for adults, not a “Hot Wheels” fantasy for boys.
Coming from two idiots that probably love the lacrosse and it’s wonderful design and ride.
