Today, we have a POV hot lap for you to immerse yourself in, courtesy of the folks at Roadshow. The footage, captured by the factory performance data recorder on a 2017 Cadillac ATS-V, takes you on a virtual ride-along with video host Emme Hall as she puts the car through its paces for the V-Performance Academy at Spring Mountain Raceway.
Hall opted for the ATS-V over the more powerful CTS-V because the former is better suited to the technicality of this twisty course. And anyway, as she says, the ATS-V is only a tenth of a second slower to 60.
Hall offers feedback as she tails her instructor in this ‘lead-follow’ lap, letting the viewer know the difficulty of each section of the course, as well as the maneuver or technique she is trying to perform; this is the rare video that’s just as educational as it is entertaining.
All in all, it’s not a bad way to spend a minute and forty-seven seconds, so go ahead and click play above.
