  1. I wish that Chevy hadn’t discontinued production of the Impala SS. Even though the SS seems to be its replacement and the fact that front wheel drive cars aren’t usually practical as performance vehicles, I still like the previous generation Impala with the SS badge better, a lot better in fact.

    2. I gave my wife my 2009 Impala SS after we sold her Dodge Avenger. She says the outside is a little bland, but now does not want to drive anything without a V8. We had some Goodyear Eagle GTs on it and she tells me the “the tires aren’t very grippy”, so I put some Michelin Pilot Super Sports on it, and he loves it. Also when I had it I averaged 18 mpg, I drove is the other date and flipped through the instrustment pack, and she is averaging 15.9 mpg, lol, hmmm. Also we rented a 2017 XTS with the 3.6L with 305 hp and she said if this has 2 more horse power than the Impala why does it feel slugish and slow. Well Hun thats because this V6 puts out 275 lbs of torque and the Impala puts out 345 lbs. So I pretty much ruined it for here on owning anything less than a V8

  2. I think we all see the future of vehicle’s like the SS sedan, these will go the way of the dinosaur. Car’s will become smaller and more efficient and perhaps more fun to drive, well maybe. It sure seems like we’re at a crossroads in the automobile industry, sure the corvette and camaro will still be available for us guys that like fast cars, but it’s just not the future. For right now the SS sedan is the best Chevy GM has ever brought to market!
