Chevrolet pickup trucks won’t be leaving NHRA anytime soon. The brand announced it has renewed its sponsorship to be the official truck of NHRA.
The sponsorship first began in 2014 and Chevy trucks have been a part of race day since. Chevrolet Silverado and Suburban SUVs have been essential components to track safety personnel for the past three years.
“We look forward to continuing our partnership with Chevrolet as their products allow NHRA Safety Safari to provide support for racers at 24-national events across the country,” said Graham Light, senior vice president, racing operations, NHRA. “The vehicles are essential to the events and invaluable during the race weekends.”
Of course, this means Chevrolet still earns branding rights across many NHRA facets. Chevrolet will be present on NHRA.com, track signage and during NHRA events in various outlets.
Earlier this year, Chevrolet also renewed its sponsorship with Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin through the year 2019.
