One has to wonder whether American buyers are expecting cars to be like their home personal computer where there’s a refreshing every 12-16 months with a tweak that increases performance 5-7 percent before a complete rebuild in 5-6 years; but to sit and do nothing except change color availability is to invite a possible death spiral in sales numbers as no one can afford to sit on their laurels as Chevrolet has done little as the C7 Corvette ZR1 cannot arrive soon enough.
There was the introduction of the Z06 and then the Grand Sport… neither of which I would call “little” in the grand scheme of things. That said, there is little to be done to the current model because the car is already very good. By all measures, the C7 has been a sales success, often doubling the C6 sales volume on a like-year basis comparison. That, and the C8 is coming sooner than we think.
That said, GM is planning on refreshing the vehicles more often while increasing the life of the architectures:

Hi Alex, and is the RHD Camaro also coming sooner than we think?
