Cadillac Escalade sales increased in the United States and in Canada during May 2017.
Cadillac Escalade Sales Results – United States – May 2017
Cumulative U.S. deliveries of the Cadillac Escalade totaled 3,547 units in May 2017, an increase of 20.5 percent compared to 2,943 units sold in May 2016. Those 3,547 units were comprised of:
- 2,203 units of the regular-length Escalade, an increase of 18.7 percent compared to 1,856 units sold in May 2016, and
- 1,344 units of the extended-length Escalade ESV, an increase of 23.6 percent compared to 1,087 units sold in May 2016
In the first five months of the year, cumulative Escalade sales decreased 2.8 percent to 13,660 units. The 13,660 units were comprised of:
- 7,990 units of the regular-length Escalade, a decrease of 8 percent, and
- 5,670 units of the Escalade ESV, an increase of 5.6Â percent

Cadillac Escalade Sales Results – Canada – May 2017
In Canada, Escalade deliveries increased 37.4 percent to 290 cumulative units in May 2017. The 290 units were comprised of:
- 188 units of the regular-length Escalade, an increase of 52.9 percent compared to 123 units sold in May 2016, and
- 102 units of the Escalade ESV, an increase of 15.9 percent compared to 88 units sold in May 2016
In the first five months of the year, cumulative Escalade deliveries increased 2.9 percent to 984 units in Canada. The 984 units were comprised of:
- 591 units of the regular-length Escalade, a decrease of 12.2 percent, and
- 393 units of the Escalade ESV, an increase of 38.9 percent

The GM Authority Take
After three consecutive months of decreasing sales in the U.S., Escalade sales volume rebounds in May. This is great news for The General, as the Escalade is one of GM’s most profitable vehicles, if not the most profitable. Hence, a rebound in Escalade deliveries could help GM’s earnings in the second quarter of 2017.
