The GM Authority Take

After nine years on the market, the current first-generation Buick Enclave full-size crossover was a solid seller for the Tri Shield brand, though it was definitely showing its age. And for the 2018 model year, it is being replaced by an all-new model.

Revealed in April at the 2017 New York Auto Show, the all-new Buick Enclave will launch in the fall of 2017 and will continue being manufactured at the GM Lansing Township factory.

As such, we expect sales volume of the first-generation model to continue falling slightly until the all-new model is fully launched, a process that typically takes two to four months from start to finish.

  1. Crossovers are like the sedans of yesteryear.. and to compete with the changing landscape, Buick needs something like the 420-hp LF3 twin-turbocharged 3.6L DOHC-4v V6.
