General Motors has forecasted the Brazilian auto market will soon experience an upswing, and it’s bolstering its portfolio of Chevrolet vehicles. Notably, the 2018 Chevrolet Equinox will launch in Brazil.
To supplement the Tracker and Trailblazer, the Equinox will slot in as a larger option, but less rugged utility vehicle for Brazilian consumers. Chevrolet hasn’t stated trims, pricing or other powertrain details, but we but the 2.0-liter LTG turbocharged four-cylinder will likely sit out in Brazil. The 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder will more than likely serve as the only engine option.
The Equinox will be available with standout technology and safety features as well. Emergency braking, safety alert seat, Bose premium audio, panoramic roof, lane keep assist and more are some of the notable features heading to Brazil.
The 2018 Equinox made its local debut at the Buenos Aires Salon in Argentina. Brazil will see the Equinox during the fourth-quarter of 2017.
