2018 Chevrolet Equinox Heading To Colombia

The 2018 Chevrolet Equinox is joining the brand’s lineup in Colombia. The brand confirmed the compact crossover will launch in the country during the second half of this year.

The 2018 Chevrolet Equinox will join the Chevrolet Tracker (Trax), Captiva, Trailblazer and Traverse. Specifically, the Equinox will slot between the Tracker and Captiva. Chevrolet Colombia has not announced additional information surrounding trims or pricing. However, it’s likely the 2018 Equinox will arrive with only the 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. The available 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder in the U.S. provides more power but makes for a thirstier vehicle.

In the U.S., the 2018 Equinox has been off to a healthy start. Last month, the Equinox racked up 4,500 sales as the compact crossover makes its way to dealerships. Later this year, the 2018 Equinox will add a 1.6-liter turbodiesel engine and could provide a significant boost to the crossover’s fuel economy numbers.

  1. I sat in one at a dealer and was surprised in a bad way about the interior. Whereas the Trax is a small car with a surprisingly roomy interior, the ‘Nox was a big looking car with a surprisingly small interior. As an Encore owner it didn’t really feel much bigger except in the trunk.
