After a decade on the market, the 2018 Buick Enclave has arrived with fresh looks, premium amenities and more. Now, it also has a price.
The 2018 Buick Enclave will start at $40,970, including destination fees, when it goes on sale in late fall of this year. Doing some quick math reveals a near $1,000 jump in the Enclave’s starting price. Buick added that popular trim levels fall within $750 of the outgoing model, while additional equipment is packed in to retain Buick’s attainable luxury motif.
The Enclave Essence starts at $45,190 with front-wheel drive and $47,190 for all-wheel drive. The Premium trim jumps to $48,990, or $51,290 for all-wheel drive. Finally, Buick’s first Avenir model, the 2018 Buick Enclave Avenir, starts at $54,390 for front-wheel drive or $56,690 for all-wheel drive.
Buick hopes strong crossover demand will help push transaction prices higher with more content and available luxury, especially from the Avenir trim.
“The Enclave has been a successful formula for the Buick brand, with sales results that have defied traditional product cycles,” Duncan Aldred, vice president of Global Buick and GMC, said in a statement.
Is the price right? The market will answer this fall.
Comments
The new Enclave/Avenir is going to be a big hit. The existing Enclave was long overdue for a complete makeover, yet it continues to sell very well.
A true American brand.
It really doesn’t surprise me that the avenir trim will be at most $60k as my dealers around me are selling the top trim level at either 55-56k and some even add window tints. It just irritates me however that people will probably complain about this vehicle being overpriced compare to something like the MDX which could go up to 60k easily. Heck even a mainstream Ford Explorer is pushing to this price range and it’s not even that luxury inside.
What ever happened to the 200-300 dollar price increases we used to have? Now it’s a thousand bucks. Prices of vehicles is getting so out of hand. There are houses going for mid 60’s where I live and they are pretty nice too!
Cars will only get more expensive as each class gets bigger and more contents put in as standard stuff man.
Yup the middle class is slowly being forced out of existence. Most middle class folks I know cannot afford a new car these days and that number will only increase making the used market the only option.
The Buick Enclave is a excellent looking model –but making more high end series are going to cut into the base Cadillac . I hope GM realizes this and this could damage both divisions. Someday GM intelligence will realize their decision to keep Buick may have not been to best division to hold on to . Although the trend is towards suv’s ,Gm is caught with only 1 sport affordable model Camaro. Oldsmobile or Pontiac would have been a wiser choice ,they were more popular and a better price spread between Cadillac .
