Disclaimer: no, there is nothing referencing a potential 2018 C7 Corvette ZR1 in this video. Unfortunately.
Now, if you do want to hear lead Corvette engineer Tadge Juechter discuss one of the most recent Corvette reveals, this is the place to be. The 2018 C7 Corvette Carbon 65 is the most recent addition to the Corvette family, which celebrates 65 years of the nameplate.
As the name implies, there’s plenty of carbon fiber bits throughout the Corvette Carbon 65 and special touches, such as the wheels, graphics and badges, help differentiate the Corvette Carbon 65 from any other model.
And, of course, there are the usual RPO changes to the Stingray, Z06 and Grand Sport, including color changes, minor interior changes and content upgrades.
You can also hear the Corvette team discuss the Bowling Green plant’s shutdown, which will take place for three months this summer and fall. Public tours will also cease for 18 months after this July. The team says it’s all due to the brand new paint shop going online, but we have a feeling there’s more to the story. 18 months to keep wandering eyes out of the plant is a long time, after all.
