Vauxhall ‘Scrappage’ Program Returns With Trade-In Incentives

Vauxhall has launched its “Scrappage Allowance Scheme” once again with goals to take over-polluting cars off the road and put drivers in a new Vauxhall.

The brand is offering £2,000 towards a new Vauxhall vehicles and may be used in conjunction with other offers. Vehicles eligible for the scrappage program include the Mokka X, Adam, Corsa, Meriva and Astra. Sorry, no new Insignia Grand Sport here.

“Our ever popular Scrappage Allowance Scheme is back, this time with a guaranteed trade-in value of £2,000.” said Leon Caruso, Vauxhall’s Retail Sales Director. “Not only can customers potentially swap their older, often higher polluting car for a cleaner, more efficient brand new Vauxhall, but they can also use scrappage in conjunction with some of Vauxhall’s other great finance offers.”

Vauxhall won’t just take any car and crush it upon trade-in, though. It takes care of potential classic and vintage vehicles. Any car dating past 1991 is marked for inspection through Vauxhall’s car recycling partner, Autogreen. From there, relevant owners’ clubs are notified and the car is taken care of accordingly.

The scrappage program will run through June 30, 2017.
