Roto-Fab Releases A Cold-Air Intake Kit For The 2017 Chevy Camaro ZL1

If you’re the proud owner of a 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 and you’re looking to help your supercharged LT4-powered beast breathe a little bit better, you might want to check out Roto-Fab’s new cold-air intake system.

Installed on an otherwise stock ZL1, Roto-Fab claims to have observed gains of 26 wheel-horsepower, which is plenty good for a super-simple bolt-on. The company also noted an increase in throttle response, and a substantially louder supercharger whine under acceleration.

This intake kit is even sufficient for those looking to make over 1,000 horsepower, Roto-Fab says. At the same time, users can expect gains even without any sort of a tune – a fact that Roto-Fab takes pride in.

Shoppers can choose to buy the system with a K&N oiled filter, or a reusable dry filter. If you opt for the K&N, the price is $479.95, while the dry filter system sees a $20 increase of $499.95.

Unable to verify whether Roto-Fab’s cold-air intake truly works as well as advertised, we won’t get into debating whether or not it’s worth your hard-earned cash. Instead, we’ll just say that this system is for those who are looking to personalize their ZL1s and maybe lock down a bit more performance and sound without doing anything drastic.

  1. Cheap buy for 26 more WHP! Awesome, but will the drivetrain then need upgrading – $$$$$?

    1. Upgrade over 26hp? No. A cold air intake is the best bang for the buck. Get rid of that clunky box and let the engine breath! My Dad put a Roto-Fab on his ’12 ZL1 and boy does it make a difference. ~25RWHP increase and man, does that blower really whine now.

  2. Increasing hp by 26 will have zero affect on the drive train

  3. My problem with these companies that sell CAI is they seem to rip people off. The filter and parts probably cost less then $20 and they seem to charge based on the cost of the car. A 30k car with a V6 hey its $120, A Vette at 90k it;s $400. All this and you barely see a change.
