GM’s IT Innovation Center Looks Like A Hip Place To Work: Video

General Motors carries a stereotype with it regarding its workforce. If you work in automotive engineering and IT, you’re old school, stuck in the past in many ways. And every young professional opts for Silicon Valley and the “cool” tech companies. That’s not true, and GM wants to show you the reality — maybe in a tad overly exaggerated fashion.

The automaker has released a video showing the day-to-day life of what it’s like to work at the IT Innovation Center in Chandler, Arizona, and it’s hip in the most relevant of ways.

There’s plenty of volleyball, cookouts and more for all the young engineers and bright minds to enjoy. You may even encounter a couple of secret handshakes while bustling about cubicles from other employees. So hip.

It’s casual, fun, and cooperative in the best of ways, according to the faces in this video. Yes, we’re poking a fun at the overall tone of the video, but in reality, we’re sure it’s a lovely work environment.  Have a look at the video right up above.
