The GM Authority Take

We posit that the increase in Savana deliveries in the U.S. and Canada in 2017 is the direct result of increased availability of the van family thanks to GM’s partnership with Navistar. The tie-up has The General continuing to produce the vans at the GM Wentzville plant, while Navistar produces the cutaway variants of the GMC Savana and its Chevy twin, the Express, at its facility in Oho. The move is meant to increase the availability (supply) of the van family, and sales appear to be following. The same holds true for the Savana’s twin — the Chevrolet Express.
