Chevrolet Rolls Out End-Of-Year Bonus Incentives Early

The year is 2017 and it’s officially the month of May. April showers have brought May flowers, but the month of May is bringing some pretty hefty discounts from Chevrolet. In fact, the brand’s bonus tag, end-of-year bonus incentives have already been rolled out.

With the incentives, a handful of Chevrolet models can be had with some sweet deals. Specifically, the 2017 Equinox, Traverse, Silverado and Trax. Surprisingly, the Chevrolet Malibu is also included, too.

The bonus tag event awards 16 percent off of a particular model’s MSRP and with new models of Equinox and Traverse inbound, we bet dealerships are pretty motivated to send current inventory off to new homes. For example, a 2017 Chevrolet Equinox LT, with front-wheel drive, normally stickers for just under $30,000. With the bonus tag event, shoppers can take the crossover home for a smidge over $25,000.

Even better is the all-new Malibu, which can be had for $22,530 plus destination after the bonus tag incentives are applied in LT trimmings. Typically, the Malibu LT goes for over $26,000. It probably helps that consumers continue to opt for crossovers and pickup trucks, leaving the sedan to wilt on dealership lots. And the Malibu is a solid offering, too.

Of course, there’s always a bit of fine print involved, but the deals are there if you look hard enough.

  2. The Impala GM forgotten vehicle. GM dealers and GM don’t even show them in their ad’s. It would be nice to see how many Chev Bolts would sell under the Tesla label.

  3. Oddly enough, my GMC dealer specialist says their 16% off has nothing to do now with date in stock, it is a choice of the dealership only!

    1. SO they’re doing on their entire inventory?

  4. I thought this might be a great opportunity for my son to unload his ancient RAV4 and buy a Trax or Encore AWD. Good luck trying to find a dealer that actually shows a vehicle with the 16% off tag sale. Chevrolet chat was no help, either.

If GM wants this type of promotion to work, they really need to make the process easier and more transparent. Took me forever to hunt down a deal during a similar Buick promo for my ’16 Regal last year.

  5. I honestly remember when the 16% off is only for the vehicles that are in-stock the longest. I remember that was one of the salesman in my local area told me about it. A
