Chevrolet has made it easier for data hungry drivers to switch over to the brand’s latest unlimited plan for the OnStar 4G LTE Wi-Fi service. Starting tomorrow, May 12, AT&T customers can now select the option to add an unlimited data plan for their cars at an AT&T retail location, online or through their individual account.
The move comes amid a surging demand for data in Chevrolet vehicles. 4G LTE Wireless data plan sales soared 275 percent in March year-over-year. Now, adding unlimited data can be a few page clicks away.
Chevrolet was not only the first automotive brand to introduce 4G LTE to its entire portfolio of vehicles, but became the first mass-market brand to introduce an unlimited plan for 4G LTE data this past March. And it’s fairly inexpensive, too. $20 per month nets you unlimited data, though, AT&T is likely to slow speeds after 22 GB of data.
Since June of 2014, Chevrolet has sold 3.5 million OnStar 4G LTE-connected vehicles. As connected cars become the norm, expect that number to continue to climb.

I know I have asked before, but just wandering if GM might be using Verizon in the future for the WIFI in their trucks and cars?
Thank You

It would be nice but it’s unlikely. You can still get the AT&T one for $20 through Onstar. I have verizon too.
IIRC, they used to use Verizon for many years and changed to AT&T a couple of years ago. I hope they stay with AT&T! They can tack the $20 monthly charge onto your AT&T wireless bill. Awesome!
