Let’s begin the month of May with yet another round of C7 Corvette ZR1 spy shots, shall we? Great, because you have no choice.
This time, we’re looking at the Corvette ZR1 convertible again, which has been captured soaking up the sun at General Motors Milford Proving Ground, and remains cloaked in plenty of camouflage. The convertible’s smaller rear spoiler is also present, likely a good thing, because the giant wing found on the coupe probably wouldn’t look very good on the drop-top.
Other than the spoiler in the back, it’s much of the same since we first began spotting the C7 Corvette ZR1 last year. The same five-star wheels are present, larger front air ducts are there and there’s still something up with the hood, where it looks as if a bulge is present. As for the engine, we’re still either looking at the introduction of the 6.2-liter LT5 V8 engine or an uprated version of the 6.2-liter supercharged LT4 V8 engine.
While the coupe seems destined to appear this year, the convertible may debut at a later date, allowing Chevrolet and the Corvette team to maximize exposure for what will likely be the most capable Corvette ever.

If the engine is an uprated LT4, would it still be called the LT4? Or something else?
