Much like the Buick Envision, the Buick Encore is exactly the right product at the right time. The subcompact/B-segment crossover saw 78,565 deliveries in 2016 and is on track to reach 85,000 sales or more in 2017. And for the 2018 model year, the tiny CUV is getting a handful of minor changes and updates for the 2018 model year.
The 2018 Encore replaces the River Rock Metallic exterior color with the Coppertino Metallic color. In addition, there are new painted, custom-molded splash guards as well as capless fuel filler feature.
Finally, the range-topping Premium (1SN) trim level sees the addition of an ionizing air cleaner system.
The 2018 Buick Encore continues to be assembled by GM Korea at the GM Bupyeong plant in Bupyeong, South Korea.

What might help improve Buick Encore sales isn’t new colors as much as something more like the new LH7 1.6L DOHC-4v 4-cyl turbo diesel engine that is optional in the 2017 Chevrolet Cruze which got an EPA highway rating of 52 mpg.
I agree 100%. TDI has been available in the Opel Mokka for a few years already.
With the sell off of Opel and Korea looks like it’s next, maybe it’s time for a Mexico or a US plant. version.
Can’t wait to see Coppertino Metallic.
The Encore is a feature packed good looking little SUV . With sales numbers like that it would be nice to see the Encore , Traxx and Cadillacs entry built here in the States . I’d bet all three would keep a factory running at capacity .
Mexico has over 40 free trade agreements with Central and South America so from a global perspective, it makes sense to build it there — US built Trax models wouldn’t enjoy the same access. The Buick is essentially the Opel, so again, from a global perspective, until volume warrants, probably economies of scale building it in one place.
How about instead of useless changes like capless fuel fill and the usual color shuffle shell game they drop the outdated underpowered 138 HP 1.4T that has no place in any pricy Buick let alone a 2018 model. The 153 HP 1.4T should be the base engine with the 170 HP 1.5T the engine used in the Sport and upper trims. Why is GM so damned reluctant to offer anything resembling performance in anything that isn’t a Corvette or Camaro these days? Barra has reduced GM to Toyota in many ways in that regard.
Why don’t they offer a power lift gate instead of a cap less gas filler! To me without this feature it’s a deal killer…sorry Buick
Why in the world can’t they put a decent engine in this automobile? Still no automatic lift gate? The armrest is very uncomfortable same as our 2016! I was hoping for some real improvements in the 2018 model.
