Like the 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV, the 2017 Opel Ampera-e is no stranger to accolades, recognition and awards. Most recently, the Bolt EV’s German twin received the Plus X 2017 Best Product award.
The Ampera-e was recognized in the “High Quality”, “Design”, “Functionality” and “Ecology” categories. It scored unanimously well, leading to the presentation of the “Best Product” award.
“Only products that are synonymous with trendsetting innovation receive the Plus X Award seal of approval. We are very proud that we receive prizes for our models on a regular basis. This also shows that are we are creating automotive future for the benefit of our customers. Our new Opel Ampera-e is the prime example,” said Jürgen Keller, Opel’s Executive Director Sales, Marketing & Service Germany.
As for the Opel Insignia Grand Sport, the brand’s flagship sedan impressed in the “High Quality”, “Design” and “Functionality” categories, leading to awards in each, respectfully. Good news, since the Insignia Grand Sport will journey to North America as the 2018 Buick Regal Sportback and to Australia as the 2018 Holden NG Commodore.
Here in the U.S., the Bolt EV has won its fair share of awards as well, taking home coveted accolades such as the 2017 Motor Trend Car of the Year among other brass.
