In case you haven’t heard, legendary tuning outfit Callaway Cars has gone and made a bread van out of Chevrolet’s C7 Corvette dubbed the “Callaway Corvette Aerowagon” – a car that looks like it’s been plucked straight from the beautiful imagination of some quirky car nerd. Recently, Matt Farah had the opportunity to drive one for The Smoking Tire‘s “One Take” series.
Except the example that Mr. Farah got to test went rather above and beyond the “standard” Aerowagon, incorporating another Callaway package into the mix: SC757, which leverages an up-sized supercharger and a redesigned intake and intercooler in order to scrape together an extra 107 warrantied horsepower and 127 lb-ft of torque. (The result is a total 757 horsepower and 777 lb-ft, for those who don’t feel like doing the math.)
The result of all that is a 2.8-second 0 to 60 time and a 10.5-second quarter-mile on street tires – in other words, true melt-your-face-off performance.
But trying to rein in all that power on the street can be challenging, to say the least, and if the stock Corvette Z06 is a sledgehammer, Callaway’s 757-horsepower Aerowagon is a wrecking ball. Matt Farah calls it “one of the scariest cars” he’s ever driven. “If you’re not a professional racing driver… you don’t want this because you’re going to die,” he warns, emphatically. “This car is way faster than most humans can process the act of driving.”
And yet, despite all the disclaimers, we don’t believe we’ve ever seen Matt Farah grin and laugh more in a 13-minute span.

If it’s that scary with a mere 757bhp, imagine what a 1500bhp Koenigsegg Regera must feel like……… no wait………the K car is “properly engineered” so it can be a daily driver. Also the Bugatti Chiron with way more HP (1500bhp) than that donk of a Chev is a daily driver also. Me thinks Matt Farah is full of ‘murican hyperbole – or it is just a piece of under-engineered sh1t….
