The GM Authority Take

We maintain that the increase in Savana deliveries is directly caused by increased availability of the van family thanks to GM’s partnership with Navistar.

To wit, the GM Wentzville plant continues to assemble the Savana (and its twin, the Chevy Express), while Navistar is assembling cutaway versions of the Savana (and Express) at its plant in Ohio. The arrangement enables GM to increase production capacity of the vans, thereby boosting supply and availability levels. With the Savana posting a near-200 percent growth in deliveries in March, it would appear that there is enough market demand to soak up the increased supply.
