General Motors launched its Take 2 program with the goal of reintroducing individuals to the workforce after taking a hiatus from the job market for over two years Since then, GM has expanded the program to a handful of areas in the United States, but the automaker has announced Canadian professionals will be included for the fist time.
Positions for the fall 2017 session will be available in Southeast Michigan, Phoenix, Austin and Atlanta, and for the first time, Canada, as mentioned. The program also covers a wide area of career options including engineering, IT, manufacturing, finance and customer care experts. For the first time, GM is also seeking out individuals for marketing positions, too.
“Our goal is to offer full-time positions upon completion of the program,” said Adela Vinot, Take 2 program manager. “In order to do that, it’s our job to provide them with the tools and support to make them successful.”
The program includes networking, professional development and training for the skills necessary in today’s job market.
