Chevy Suburban Sales Up 1.7 Percent To 3,889 Units In March 2017

Chevrolet Suburban sales increased in the United States and decreased in Canada during March 2017.

Chevrolet Suburban deliveries in the United States totaled 3,889 units in March 2017, an increase of 1.7 percent compared to 3,825 units sold in March 2016. The performance represents the model’s best March total sales since 2008.

In the first three months of 2017, sales of the extended-length, full-size SUV have increased 25.9 percent to 13,445 units. The performance represents the Suburban’s best first quarter total and retail sales performance since 2008.

Chevrolet Suburban Sales – March 2017 – Canada

In Canada, the Suburban recorded 102 deliveries in March 2017, a decrease of 32.5 percent compared to March 2016. In the first three months of the year, Suburban sales have decreased 46.4 percent to 225 units in Canada.

The Suburban’s March performance follows the general market trend of growing CUV and SUV sales at the expense of other vehicles such as sedans. The movement is quite beneficial for General Motors as it relates to the Suburban, since trucks and SUVs based on the automaker’s K2 platform carry high or very high profit margins.
