The Bolt EV is the first mass-produced, all-electric vehicle from GM’s Chevrolet brand. In December 2016, the small EV went on sale in two launch states — California and Oregon as production of the vehicle is being ramped up at the GM Orion Assembly Plant in Michigan. In January 2017, the Bolt EV made its way to the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions, with dealers in New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Maryland, and Virginia now selling the vehicle.

  1. I would like the state of California to order 100,000 of these cars. To get a group discount price. They’d be pre-sold to buyers.

Sure, that would do a circle around the dealers. But me no care. The price has to drop ASAP.

    1. What does the competition charge?

      Oh wait.

  2. The Chevy Bolt EV has sold more units in four months (December 2016 to March 2017) than the Chevy Volt did in its first four months (December 2010 to March 2011), although both has a slow delivery schedule. SO by September the Bolt EV will sell by the thousands per month.

  3. Anyone has any idea what the rollout plan is? Seems to me like it’s taking forever pumping those out on the market. I’m of the opinion that they should also copy the Tesla model and get a battery plant right next to their plants or in the lower states to control the supply, because this is going to bottleneck soon enough.
