Alice Cooper’s 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS Up For Grabs At Barrett-Jackson

Barrett-Jackson consigns some pretty interesting cars from far and wide. Sometimes it’s a one-off build, other times it’s a forgotten piece of treasure. Sometimes, though, the cars simply rock, like Alice Cooper’s 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS.

That’s right, Cooper’s personal 1969 Camaro SS will cross the auction block this weekend at Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach. Not only does its current owner provide significance to the car, this example is actually pretty immaculate, too. Cooper has the car built to his specifications years back, which includes a 396 cubic-inch V8 engine (curiously) paired to a three-speed automatic transmission.

Unlike Cooper’s stage dramatics, his Camaro is fairly tame looking.Modern, chunky wheels and front disc brakes are present and accounted for and are complimented by an orange exterior hue with black stripes.

Cooper is said to have driven the Camaro regularly in his home state of Arizona and it’s heading to auction with no reserve. It’ll be interesting to see how this Camaro performs. But if old school isn’t your thing, look for the first production Camaro ZL1 1LE to cross the block at the same auction.
