2018 Corvette ZR1 Sounds Very Supercharged

The latest videos emerging from the Nurburgring of the impending 2018 Corvette ZR1 supercar all shout the same sentence:
There’s no mistaking that LT4 blower whine. Yes. We’re suggesting that there’s an LT4 V8 under there, just like the Corvette Z06, Cadillac CTS-V, and Camaro ZL1. That’s not to say that the output of the 2018 ZR1 will be the same as the the Z06, but it’s very evident that the ZR1 isn’t breaking from character. That’s also not to say that the 2018 Corvette ZR1 will have the same thermal issues as earlier Z06 builds. We hope to have more details on this soon.
This, unfortunately, also quashes any hope for a DOHC, twin-turbo V8 to debut in the 2018 Corvette ZR1. As for that whole mid-engine thing, well…
