Buick has been on a mission to redefine what to expect from its ownership experience. However, all of that starts with how a vehicle looks and feels. As for the 2017 Buick LaCrosse, it’s a pleasant place to be.
Not only do we think that, but it’s been recognized by WardsAuto after the sedan was named to the “10 Best Interiors” list for 2017. The LaCrosse was lauded for its “expressive lines” found in the two-tier instrument panel, and clever storage and amenities abound. Leather and rich woodgrain were real eye pleasers for judges, as was an uncluttered center stack, which added to the cabin’s overall ambiance. Not to mention, the overall aura was spacious and airy.
The 2017 LaCrosse was the only GM product to be named to the list this year and represented just one of two American manufacturers; the Lincoln Continental was the other American marque to make the list.
It must be noted, the test LaCrosse named to the list rings in at just over $50,000, meaning the amenities loved by judges won’t be found on your average LaCrosse sedan. However, the same overall design translates to each and every trim, and that’s certainly a good thing.

Now they just need to abolish that dumb shifter and make the center console a bit narrower to give back some space for knees and legs.
I’d like to see a front bench option return, not just here but most mid and full size sedans. It provides so much additional room and seating.
Never coming back, not even as a low-cost option. Side crash-tests put that seating style in the grave years ago.
Good recognition for a good sedan! The LaCrosse is indeed one of Buick’s best designs since its introduction in 2009!
yes one of gm best looking but, people are under the impression all Buicks are not made in the USA and it could be hurting sales . another negative is the high price
It’s a sharp car all around.
It looks this article promote a product. To me as a car lover who follows automoilbe industry, in compare to competitors Buick lines are expensive and technogically out of date.
The new Lacrosse has a great interior overall. I just wish that the console was a bit lower and less wide to make the front seats feel more spacious. I would disagree about their assessment of clever storage though, as Buick got rid of the sunglasses holder in the overhead, and the dash bin to the left of steering wheel …no upper glove box, no flip and fold rear seating, no hidden storage behind the touch screen… Also, not a fan of the “moon white” accent lighting. I vastly prefer the previous “ice blue”. Just get with the program already, GM. Let me select my interior accent color to fit my style or mood like Ford and Lincoln do! More interior color choices would be nice too, especially the color pictured above.
Great is not a word I would use to describe the Lacrosse interior. Cramped and awkward come to mind. The pass thru storage is ill conceived and poorly designed. It is impossible to retrieve anything from it while moving. Must find a place to park and possibly get out of the car, climb in head first to find anything. My wife and I can not get in or out of the vehicle without bumping our heads. The cubbies in the doors are of awkward design, nothing can be gotten out of them unless it is straight down in them. If your sunglasses slide to the rear of your cubbies you will have to again stop and park to retrieve them. The glove box has some kind of weird hump on the left side, so you can not store a legal size folder, and close it. The arm rest is so short that it is useless even for my wife at 5′ 4″, she has to rest her hand on the water bottle in the cup holder, which is rattling anyway. This is certainly not in my top anything interiors, unless you consider worst top ten.
