Watch A Golf Cart Cream A 1,050 Wheel-Horsepower Corvette: Video

It’s something many of us fall victim to. When we build vehicles and reach whatever magic horsepower number in our heads, we feel untouchable. Whether that be on the drag strip, at the track or whatever, it’s a feeling of being on top of the world.

That is, until someone faster comes along.

That someone probably won’t be driving a golf cart, but in this case, they were.

The golf cart in the video here is running a 1,300-cc Hayabusa four-cylinder motor, cranking out 158 hp at the rear wheels in the process. Let’s take a moment to digest that. That’s the power of 158 horses pulling oh, maybe a couple hundred pounds.

However, the driver of this C6 Corvette Z06 shook it off. Why wouldn’t you when your Corvette is pushing 1,050 hp to the rear wheels? The driver was certainly in for a surprise.

The golf cart launches off the line with utmost authority and sprints down the quarter mile quicker than the Corvette, with time slips declaring the golf cart the victor. It’s light weight over pure power that won this race. Have a look at the video for yourself up above.

  1. “Down the quarter mile”?

Did ya watch the video? Looks like an 1/8 mile track to me.
