High Winds Take Ford Headquarter’s Blue Oval Sign With It: Video

High winds took much of Michigan by surprise with gusts causing damage across the area. How strong were the winds? Strong enough to take Ford’s blue oval logo with it.

Winds completely ripped the Ford logo from the automaker’s “glass house” headquarters in Dearborn, Michigan, this past Wednesday and now, nothing but white light bulbs remain where the logo once sat. Click On Detroit reports no one was hurt when the sign was ripped from its place. It’s also unknown when the logo will be replaced.

The sign itself is made of soft fabric, which means the old sign is anything but salvageable. It will need to be completely replaced, according to our sister publication, Ford Authority.

We, no, I myself, recognize there are plenty of Ford jokes to be made following this occurrence. But, you can handle that yourself in the comment section below, should you feel so compelled.

  3. Well, that blows. This probably means the end of their plans to build their next truck beds out of military grade pool fabric. Another idea gone with the wind.
