The GM Authority Take

GM had some fairly large incentives on the Silverado in February, so we wouldn’t be surprised if the 17 percent sales jump in February Silverado sales was the direct result of those incentives.

To note, FCA continues to heavily incentivize its Ram pickup truck, with Ford showing some restraint on the matter. As a result, Ram Pickup sales increased 5 percent to 39,046 units while Ford F-Series sales increased 8.66 percent to 65,956 units, representing the nameplate’s best sales performance since 2004.
