Cadillac Escalade Sales Sink 14.7 Percent To 2,446 Units In February 2017

Cadillac Escalade sales decreased in the United States and in Canada during February 2017.

Cadillac Escalade Sales Results – United States – February 2017

Cumulative U.S. deliveries of the Cadillac Escalade totaled 2,446 units in February 2017, a decrease of 14.7 percent compared to 2,867 units sold in February 2016. Those 2,446 units were comprised of:

1,434 units of the regular-length Escalade, a decrease of 21.2 percent compared to 1,820 units sold in February 2016, and
1,012 units of the extended-length Escalade ESV, a decrease of 3.3 percent compared to 1,047 units sold in February 2016

In the first two months of the year, cumulative Escalade sales decreased 4.6 percent to 4,643 units. The 4,643 units were comprised of:

2,652 units of the regular-length Escalade, a decrease of 13 percent, and
1,991 units of the Escalade ESV, an increase of 9.3 percent

Cadillac Escalade Sales Results – Canada – February 2017

In Canada, the Escalade recorded 135 cumulative deliveries in February 2017, a decrease of 21 percent compared to February 2016. The 135 units were comprised of:

65 units of the regular-length Escalade, a decrease of 48 percent compared to 125 units sold in February 2016, and
70 units of the Escalade ESV, an increase of 52.2 percent compared to the 46 units sold in February 2016

In the first two months of the year, cumulative sales of the Escalade decreased 10.5 percent to 290 units in Canada. The 290 units are comprised of:

145 units of the regular-length Escalade, a decrease of 41.8 percent compared to 249 units sold in February 2016, and
145 units of the Escalade ESV, an increase of 93.3 percent compared to 75 units sold in February 2016

The decrease in February 2017 Escalade deliveries in both the U.S. and Canada appears to be cyclical and not related to product or availability issues. It’s worth noting that in January, the full-size luxury SUV posted a 10 percent sales increase in the U.S. and a 1.31 percent sales increase in Canada.
