The world isn’t short on car-related films. Although The Fast and the Furious franchise has many fans locked down, we’re always okay with another film featuring fast cars and well-executed, precision driving.
“Baby Driver” looks to fill that void later this year and the first trailer looks pretty promising. The story revolves around young wheelman with a hearing disability. Following an accident, a ringing in his ears persisted. His secret to his driving skills is a set of headphones and music to keep concentration behind the wheel.
And we can see some exciting cars as stars, too. A hawk-eye Subaru Impreza WRX looks to be one of the main vehicles, but we also caught a Dodge Challenger, 1980s Caprice and possibly a 1990s Impala SS at one point in the trailer as well.
Edgar Wright, responsible for Sean of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, has written and directed the film, so we can expect some cheeky humor to offset what seems like a dramatic performance overall.
“Baby Driver” is set to release this August.

Why does the post title have a comma in it? ” ‘Baby Driver’ Trailer Features Chevrolet Caprice Classic, Car Chase”
Saw a preview of this last night. The soundtrack is the highlight. Although it won’t break box office records (the tone is a little too over the place for the average audience), it’s destined for cult classic status.
