The 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV has earned more than a few accolades since its short time in production, but the affordable EV has its eyes on the grandest prize of all: World Green Car of the Year.
And the 2017 Bolt EV is moving closer to achieving that goal. The Bolt EV was named a finalist for the award during the 2017 Geneva Motor Show this week. Chevrolet’s affordable electric vehicle is one of three vehicles in the hunt for the award; the Toyota Prius Prime and Tesla Model X are both hungry for the same title.
The Bolt EV also marks General Motors’ only contender in the various “World Car” award categories, including World Luxury Car, World Performance Car, World Urban Car and World Car Design of the year. Each segment is dominated by European brands.
The panel won’t have much longer to deliberate over a winner as three become one at the 2017 New York International Auto Show on April 13, 2017.

I expect the 2017 Chevy Bolt EV to win this award as it has won many others for this year.
