It’s always a risk when taking your vehicle to the track. Whether it’s an oval course, race track or the dragstrip, disaster has a funny way of creeping in when it’s least expected.
Thankfully, disaster didn’t have its way with the driver of this fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro ZL1. Following a procedural burnout and launch, the Camaro ZL1 shoots down the quarter mile with gusto, though lags behind his opponent in the Ford Mustang. About halfway down the strip, smoke begins to shoot from a unidentifiable location and the Camaro is thrown into a fishtail at high speeds.
Miraculously, the driver seems to keep the car under control as it throws itself left and right, narrowly missing the wall more than a few times. If this Camaro had nine lives, it probably used seven or eight in this incident.
Have a look at the run in the video right up above.
