Seller Asking $70,200 For 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV On eBay

For those of us not residing in California or Oregon, the 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV is forbidden fruit for a few more months. The rest of the United States will be receiving Bolt EVs by fall. So, yes, there is a bit of a wait.

However, if patience is not a virtue, you can have one right now. But, impatience will cost you. A seller on eBay has listed a 2017 Bolt EV for auction and its “buy it now” price sits at a very steep $70,200. Even less impractical? It’s already been registered, so there’s no $7,500 federal tax credit in it for the buyer.

Currently, the starting bid exactly the same as the MSRP of a brand new Bolt EV Premier at $43,905, but the seller seems pretty confident it will move for much more than that.

If you want some sound buying advice from us, we’d advise against it. Good things come to those who wait, and the Bolt EV is certainly worth waiting for. However, if you are interested in taking a closer look, follow the link to the listing right here.

  1. I have NEVER understood the need some people have to be the first to get something or see something. I just wait a bit and save money.

  2. $70,000 is a lot of money. Why not just go slumming to get a stingray.
