Roadster Shop’s SPEC 1967 Chevrolet Camaro Redefines Muscle: Video

How do you take a mostly-original 1967 Chevrolet Camaro and make it even better? You give it modern-day performance and reliability, of course.

Now, some might say altering the condition of a mostly original specimen is blasphemous, but all’s fair in the name of speed and performance. The fellas at Roadster Shop would agree, as they fitted this ’67 Chevy Camaro with a chassis from their own, brand-new SPEC series line. It’s a complete chassis that starts at less than $10,000, and it makes a great solution for the do-it-yourselfer who’s not looking to fabricate something himself.

Roadster Shop’s SPEC chassis also has the added benefit of lending the Camaro the strength of a full frame.

Built to be a competitive street cruiser that could hold its own at the track, this Camaro has a bunch of other goodies that enhance both handling and comfort. That made it the perfect candidate for the new SPEC IFS front-suspension setup, which utilizes beefy control arms and a design that allows for easy servicing.

Rather needless to say, this classic pony car is about more than just straight-line speed.

To hear more on the SPEC Camaro, hit play. A video of this car’s track capabilities is on the way, so stay tuned.

  1. As the video indicates-car is a ’68. After owing numerous 1st gen Camaros in my opinion this is just what they need. BTW-refreshing to see a 1st gen Camaro without a cowl hood.
