If you’re anticipating purchasing a Chevrolet Redline special edition, you may be waiting out most of 2017, depending on which model you choose.
A Chevrolet Facebook video promoting the Redline series has provided specific months for when we will see nearly every one of the nine special editions launch. Previously, the brand simply stated each Redline series vehicle would be available by the end of 2017.
From the video, here’s a loose launch schedule for seven of the nine Redline vehicles:
- 2017 Chevrolet Silverado Redline, available now
- 2017 Chevrolet Colorado Redline, April 2017
- 2017 Chevrolet Cruze sedan Redline, April 2017
- 2017 Chevrolet Cruze hatch Redline, April 2017
- 2018 Chevrolet Traverse Redline, June 2017
- 2017 Chevrolet Trax Redline, July 2017
- 2018 Chevrolet Equinox Redline, October 2017
Curiously, the video omits the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro and Malibu Redline editions. But, as stated previously, both of those vehicles will become available by the year’s end.
Comments
If there are no real performance tweaks, no GM vehicle deserves the “SS” or “Redline” designation. All this serves is to disappoint prospective buyers looking and hoping for a little more steam from their DD family truckster.
Why not just call it the “Sport Appearance Package” and be done with it? A lot of fluff and nothing else! Geezes!
Redline Edition? LOL! Go to a local graphics shop and save yourself a few thousand dollars.
And hardly anyone will notice.
