The folks at Hennessey Performance Engineering have updated their awesome HPE750 package for the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, with the end result being 661 peak horsepower and up to 695 lb-ft of torque at the rear wheels. Compare that to the 632 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque the HPE750-equipped ZL1 posted the last time we saw it strapped to the dyno.
We’re not exactly sure what changes were made between this video and the last, but Hennessey Performance Engineering says that the HPE750 package includes a cold-air induction system, long-tube stainless steel headers, a lower pulley & belt upgrade, and in-house tuning that sets the boost to 12 psi.
If you ask us, these are great gains for a couple of bolt-on upgrades and a tune. And for wannabe Camaro ZL1 owners (like yours truly), the desire is very real.
