General Motors has filed a new design application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) to represent Diesel Fuel goods and services, GM Authority has discovered.
The design application consists of “rounded and swirling designs intended to resemble an automobile”, with color not being claimed as a feature of the mark. The application was filed with the USPTO on February 8th, 2017 and has been assigned serial number 87328174.
The GM Authority Take
The two-coil design to represent diesel fuel is quite creative, though we are unclear as to how or where The General will use the mark, as we can’t quite picture it as an emblem on the automaker’s diesel-powered vehicles. Stay tuned to GM Authority as we follow this one, as well as all other General Motors news.

I think GM should put the 2.8L “baby Duramax” into Escalade’s and Yukon(XL) Denali trims, in order to compete with Mercedes.
That looks like the Top Tier fuel logo… Just saw it at Costco.
