Dale Earnhardt Jr. has expressed his support of the American immigration system following President Donald Trump’s implementation of a temporary executive order banning nationals from seven Muslim majority countries from entering the U.S.
Earnhardt Jr. didn’t comment specifically on the Trump administration’s immigration ban, but supported the idea of immigration in the U.S. in a Tweet sent in reply to a concerned Muslim NASCAR fan.
@GelarBudidarma my fam immigrated from Germany in 1700s escaping religious persecution. America is created by immigrants.
— Dale Earnhardt Jr. (@DaleJr) January 29, 2017
Not surprisingly, fans’ reactions to Earnhardt’s feeling towards the executive order have been mixed. Many staunch supporters of Donald Trump, of which there are plenty in NASCAR country, aren’t on his side, but he’s also received lots of support from fans. A quick glance at the replies to Earnhardt’s initial tweet on the matter will show NASCAR viewers on both sides of the matter hashing it out.
As Autoblog notes, Earnhardt Jr. was a previous supporter of George W. Bush and is open to conservative viewpoints but has also shown a progressive side at times, having previously supported NASCAR’s ban of Confederate flags and deeming them offensive.

You can’t get away from politics anywhere anymore.. I understand what Dale is saying and I agree, my family tree has Native American Irish and French and Scottish way down the line.. but Trump is not against immigration I mean look at his wife she is an immigrant, and his ancestry is most likely immigrants.. the ban has nothing to do with banning a particular group of people but protecting American citizens first from terrorizing acts that has been implemented from immigration from certain countries.. its not saying all are bad but it’s trying to safe guard from terrorist.
You know the last 4 or 5 presidents put a ban on immigration for some period of time due to the same reason that Donald Trump is doing? Where was the media all over Obama when he did the same thing in 2011? Or whenever Bill Clinton said we should defend our borders which is constitutional.. it doesn’t make someone a bad person. In fact two Muslim countries defended Trump for his decision and one being Saudi Arabia.
It’s the leftist ideology. If you’re rich you’re evil, if you’re poor you’re virtuous. America is prosperous therefore it is unfair and the countries a part of the short ban are hellholes, therefore they are virtuous. And If you disagree with that you are a racist, sexist, bigot, islamophobe who hates the poor.
If you don’t like what Jr has to say, then leave him alone to say it. If you want to force him to not say stuff, THAT MAKES YOU PC!!!
If you make people afraid to say what the hell they want to say, you are against Trump. Ask the President himself if he wants people to be afraid to speak their own mind and say whatever they want to say.
PC is when people say “if you disagree with me, you are a racist, sexist, bigot, islamophobe who hates the poor.” PC is ALSO when people say “you CAN’T call me a racist, sexist, bigot, islamophobe who hates the poor.”
If you don’t want PC, then accept that I can call you whatever I want. PC doesn’t go one way, it goes EVERY WAY.
saudi arabia … you mean the country that gave us the 9/11 terrorist supports trump’s decision to not include them on the list?
well that is a relief!!!!
i guess we could all sleep better knowing they won’t have any problems coming to america.
Obama did not do the same thing and that’s where I have a big problem. Anyone that has told you otherwise has LIED to you and is twisting the truth to fit their narrative.. That’s evil and going back to that same well repeatedly for your news is moronic. Just because you can get away with saying something doesn’t make it true.

Here is a snippet:
There was a delay in processing Iraqi refugees in 2011 after it was discovered that two Iraqi refugees living in Kentucky had been involved in roadside bombing attacks on U.S. troops in Iraq. One of the refugee’s fingerprints were found on a detonation device in Iraq, prompting U.S. immigration, security and intelligence agencies to use federal databases to rescreen about 58,000 Iraqi refugees in the U.S. and more than 25,000 Iraqis who had been approved to enter the U.S., but had not yet been admitted, Department of Homeland Security officials testified at the time.
The Kentucky case not only caused a backlog in processing Iraqi refugees in 2011, but it also resulted in an overhaul of the refugee screening process.
The Obama administration’s actions were limited to one country and in response to a specific threat — the potential for other Iraqi refugees to take advantage of a flaw in the screening process…
Lol. That “delay in processing refugees” was the Obama State Department not allowing anyone from Iraq in for 6 months. Stop calling it a delay when it’s the same thing as Trump’s EO. After 90 days, guess what, refugees from those 7 countries will be allowed in again. Let’s not forget the 7 countries listed on Trump’s EO were identified by the Obama Administration as “countries of concern”.
Stop acting like this came out of thin air. The countries listed don’t even break the surface of the Muslim majority countries of the world. These 7 countries are temporarily blocked because they are infested with terrorists. This helps Muslims in the US because nobody kills more Muslims than other Muslims. Where’s your outrage at the 16 Muslim nations that won’t allow Jews into their countries? Where’s your outrage at the second generation Palestinians still stuck in refugee camps in Jordan? I’m sure your preferred media source will get to that eventually, when it’s convenient for them, like when they can blame Republicans for example.
So we have 7 couunties 6 of which that has no stable goverment to help with any kind of intel they can or while share and we are just to take anyone or anyone just at their word?
What is wrong with taking a pause and fixing a broken system to the point where we improve it to the best we can. Or should we wait and just leave the path open to anyone who may want to do harm.
We have been safe only do to some great work over the years and fixing gaps as they are found.
The truth is if Hilary had done this nothing would have been said.
The left is just mad and powerless. It was first the women’s march now forgotten and now this 90 day pause will be forgotten as the Soros operatives will now focus on the SCOTUS Appointee.
As you stated for Obama the present admin is just fixing the potential flaws that could be taken advantage of.
You only get one chance to get this right you fail people die and the problems like this are hard to undo.
This is just fake news by a bias media and taken hook line and sinker by the haters and ignorent of world politics.
At least Dale JR has an excuse as he is coming off a head injury.
Not much unlike what President Trump is doing now. A temporary pause on 7 nations with extreme issues relating to terror. What harm does it cause to pause the system for a short time until the system can better screen people before they enter this nation. American citizens have a right to feel protected. 80% of refugees flooding into Europe from war torn muslim nations were young men of fighting ages of 18-34. How does that make sense. Should they not have sent their mothers, daughters, sons and the elderly for asylum? This refugee pause is not for every majority muslim nation. There are 43 of them, so that means 36 other nation’s people can immigrate to the USA. And migration stats show that people have still been allowed in since the order was signed. Everyone has a right to their opinion without having to feel being berated by the supposed tolerant people.
You also have to remember immigration is not the same as it was for Jr’s German relatives. When people started coming here in those early American generations, they were under heavy scrutiny to gain entrance. They had to prove a skill and immediately register those skills and become productive to society. There was no welfare or government assistance. That is how we and our immigrant ancestors built this country. That is how a country remains prosperous. The way it has been going, people are flooding in with no skill, no desire to assimilate, no respect for American culture and laws, but yet are somehow immediately given and willing to accept government assistance at taxpayer expense. They’ve contributed nothing and that makes some people pretty upset. You cannot have a sovereign nation that can promise the safe guarding of its people if anyone can just come on in without a second glance.
America has been so generous and welcoming to the people who have come to this country through the front door and proper immigration channels. America is generous still to those who come in the back door. From countries where an American wouldn’t be afforded even the most basic human rights. Why do we not protest and feign anger at those nations that are so hostile towards us.
President Trump is not my favorite, but we need to give the man a chance and people need to get over their unnecessary whining. There will be another election in four years. If the President fails miserably, then I believe Americans will come together no matter what political affiliation and repudiate him and we will elect a new President. Just as many Americans were not fans of President Obama, but there was never the vulgar reactions to his election victories as there is now towards President Trump. The behavior of the people out there is reprehensible and is a stain on our history.
Well said
I think many forget that there were large numbers that did not make it though Ellis Island.
Jr DOESN”T HAVE A BRAIN TO BE CONCUSSED ANYMORE> WHAT A DUMBASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
MRB, . GREAT COMMENTS. WELL SAID. Thanks for your opinion and generally, sane, neutral, correct, comments. Not much more can be added unless you are a really narrow minded soul. About, Dale JR, … just a nice man, trying to be respectful, factual, successful, and likeable in a really competitive business, that can get you killed – be nice to him. THANKS, E E Henry
GREG, …. AWESOME VIDEO ….. suggestion to all …… watch it. Amazing how President Trump, ‘abusive’ B. Clinton, and ‘do-nothing’ Obama, ……… ALL THREE ………. say precisely the same thing about an immigration ban. Yet, the American public wants to crucify Trump for his efforts. EARL PITTS, says, “”Wake up America””. THANKS, E E Henry
The the next occasion I read a weblog, I hope so it doesnt disappoint me about this one. Come on, man, I know it was my substitute for read, but When i thought youd have something intriguing to express.
