This “dip” is only because of the model year changeover. The 2017 models just started arriving at dealers in January, 2016s with Manual Transmissions are long sold out.
We’ll probably see an increase in sales every single month from here into the summer, only a slight taper into the fall, and then it will fall off a cliff. By then there will only be less popular colors left on lots, and I can guarantee they will all be automatics.
Doubt it. These things will not sell. Expect massive price cuts just like we saw last summer. There are still PLENTY of 2015s rotting on lots dealers cannot wait to get rid of.
I’m gonna find me a nice used one.
SAD! Maybe if gm did a better job with the body it would have sold better threw out is years. But I guess everybody and gm knows best right! Me and my colleague sent certified letters to the top gm executive years ago. A representative call us about our ideal and she said she like it and hated the current impala at the time. We were told if the executives like it they would give a call back. Well we never heard from them and two years later this so called SS came out?. I am a big fan of gm but why can they stick to the heritage like they do the vette, camaro, and so on???? Call it want you want but this SS is sad. If I’m wrong… look at the sales stats in America for this so called ss.
LOL, I doubt it. Scans/images of these “certified letters to the top gm executives” or it did not happen. Place links below.
GM does know best. That is why GM is running a multi-billion-dollar international car company and you do not.

So what’s next a hybrid 4 door sport sedan.. let me know??
I bought a used 2016 with 6500 miles last week. If there was a guaranty of another 20% discount in 2017, I would have waited, however, I felt like a Black manual might be hard to find even if they did go on sale, so opted to buy used and saved about $12K off of MSRP and have it in my garage. These may be the most underrated cars ever, certainly sleepers and I really like mine. Who knows, if they go on sale later, I may buy another one, just to put it up and save it.
