A completely overhauled, 2018 Chevy Equinox is scheduled to launch in the U.S. in the first quarter of 2017. The vehicle features an all-new powertrain lineup and rides on an all-new architecture (GM’s D2 platform) that enables it to shed over 400 pounds in weight, contributing to improved fuel economy and handling. The crossover also gets all-new sheetmetal and an all-new interior, and is also slightly smaller inside and out compared to the current model.

  1. Smaller inside and out and no more V6 option? Yeah, that will really help sales. The big winner will be Jeep dealers, who will find Equinox shoppers heading to them in droves to by a V6 Cherokee. I have a 2015 Equinox AWD V6, and the current size is just about perfect. Making it smaller, and only offering 4-cylinder engines is an absolute deal breaker.
