Cadillac CTS-V Wagon Gets Kooks Headers And A Custom Exhaust: Video

We’ll start by saying that the first ten seconds to this Kooks exhaust comparison video are spot-on, not to mention probably our favorite part. That said, the following 10 minutes and 38 seconds are definitely worth a watch, too; a video comparing exhaust setups on any LSA-powered vehicle is always sure to delight, and the fact that it’s a Cadillac CTS-V wagon (with a stick!) makes it even sweeter.

We’ll also give a hat-tip to the ballsy owner of this CTS-V, who decided to hack-and-splice the engine harness in order to accommodate an N2MB WOT box, which allows for no-lift shifting and 2-step launch control. The point of using a WOT box is to get more consistent launch and acceleration, though many owners install them simply because “it sounds cool.” To each his own, we suppose. We’re just glad it all worked out for him.

In any case, this obnoxiously loud CTS-V wagon sounds wicked. The exhaust system itself is comprised of Kooks long-tube headers, Kooks off-road X-pipe, K-Tek mufflers, and stainless-steel tubing. Check out the video above to hear it for yourself.

  1. Another vehicle that should have been left alone…the right size, selection of body styles, less complicated instrument panel…oh well.
