Bill Nye The Science Guy Buys A 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV

Bill Nye, yes that Bill Nye, has made a significant purchase in scooping up a 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV. The Science Guy spoke with Green Car Reports following his purchase three weeks ago, and Nye couldn’t be more happy with the Bolt EV.
He said the Bolt EV “is head and shoulders above the rest” of the electric hatchbacks he’s driven and prefers the visibility to his Nissan Leaf. Nye has purchased seven other electric vehicles in his lifetime, including an original EV1, and still holds onto his 2004 Toyota Prius.
Nye also thought the infotainment was a breeze to use and appreciated the bird’s eye view from the camera.
He stated he’s already begun giving friends rides in the Bolt EV to have them experience an electric vehicle. He says it breaks out that “EV smile”, as it shows what it’s truly like to drive an electric vehicle.
His daily commute normally ranges from 70 to 90 miles, which was a stretch for the Leaf, but not an issue for the Bolt EV.
“Everyone’s got a number” of miles they need to travel without worrying, he said. “Mine is just under 100 miles.” “Now I can go to Palm Springs without worrying,” he said, a distance of about 120 miles.
Nye joins Steve Wozniak as another notable name parading about in a 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV.

Only now he bought a Bolt?
The guy is a enviro-hypocrite as he flies around in smog-producing private jets and lives a pretty luxurious life. Not the kind of guy who gets me excited to buy a Bolt.
Greenies who have any luxury are hypocrites! Everybody knows greenies don’t want to care for the environment, what they really want to do is redistribute luxury to bearded weirdos. Smog producing private jets are bad, that’s true. Bought anything over the Internet lately and had it delivered to your door? Those with no sin shall cast the first stone…
Hypocrites only on the left? You need to look up Phyllis Schlafly, the Republican woman who built a business promoting the idea that women should never build businesses, they should stay home.
Nothin like profiting off of people you scare into thinking the sky is falling so you can buy yourself another car. Couldn’t take another private flight to DC so you can hop on Air Force One to talk about how you can further subvert Americans? D-bag.
According to you, keeping American oil in the American soil is bad. Keeping reserves of American oil in the ground where it is at its most safe from external attack, ready for use by our military instead of our office workers using it to commute to the local bank branch, or soccer moms who could whiz the kids to the local field using electricity, that’s anti-American.
Maybe it’s time you studied the fall of Rome. You also need to study the Battle of Stalingrad in WWII, where the Russians defeated Hitler by denying him access to the Caspian oil fields. Right there is when Hitler lost the war, and D-Day was not possible without it. Why the hell do you think Eisenhower patiently waited it out?
Maybe it’s just me, but purchasing another car when there is nothing wrong with the old one, even if they are electric, shows the wastefulness and consumerism that has created the pollution problem we have. The manufacturing process isn’t a carbon net zero process. Everyone talks like tesla’s and bolts will fix the environment. Nobody will do the maths to prove that keeping my old car running in good mechanical condition is worse for the environment than melting it down, and building a new one.
There is too much money in environmental “science” for me to believe it anymore than the oil funded “science” that says humans have no effect on environment.
That being said, good on Chevy for creating a product that they can sell to elite enviro propaganda experts. That kind of publicity should bring in some good sales, and profits.
At last the real truth, thank you!!! More than half of the pollution life of a car is created in the manufacturing process, although zero-landfill factories like BMW South Carolina and Subaru Japan are improving that. Also, BMW South Carolina uses power from a landfill out-gassing operation right next to the factory.
Hydrogen is actually possible in reciprocating ICE engines. Whatever happened to the movement to convert existing cars to hydrogen?
The ROMANS were dancing in the street, right — ???? lol. lol. lol. THANKS, e.e
