All-Electric Genovation C6 Corvette Breaks Standing Mile World Record: Video

Genovation comes in and out of the news with their all-electric, C6 Corvette-based GXE sports car. Well, really it’s a C6 Corvette with the small-block V8 yanked out and replaced with an electric propulsion method.

The electric Corvette conversion has already set a top speed record by clocking 205.6 mph with its 44 kWh battery and two electric motors, but it came back to tackle the standing mile. And the GXE has done it.

Genovation recorded the entire course of events and the GXE was able to clip its old standing mile record of 189.5 mph with a new top speed of 190.4 mph. The previous record was set in June of 2016, but the team felt the car had more in it. Looks like they were right.

Have a look at the world record run in the video above as it silently sprints down the airstrip.
