Chevrolet surprised the windy city with nine special edition models for media at the 2017 Chicago Auto Show and the 2017 Chevy Colorado is one of the bunch to receive some attention.
The 2017 Chevrolet Colorado Redline edition hauls in unique exterior looks for the midsize pickup, and shares other touches with the 2017 Silverado Redline edition. Specifically, the Colorado Redline adds black wheels featuring distinct red hash marks, black nameplates with a red outline, blacked-out grilles and black Chevrolet bowtie logos. The Colorado Redline also sees red tow hooks as another special touch.
“Our special edition lineup has been popular with customers and dealers, alike,” said Brian Sweeney, U.S. vice president of Chevrolet. “Since the introduction of special editions on vehicles the like Silverado and Camaro, vehicle average transaction prices have increased, time to turn has decreased, and conquest rates have risen, which has contributed to making Chevrolet the fastest-growing brand in the industry two years in a row.”
It’s the latest of many special editions revealed for the Colorado, including the Midnight, Shoreline and Trail Boss special editions. Though, the biggest new regarding the midsize pickup continues to surround the 2017 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 and its official price of $40,995.
If the Colorado ZR2 is too rich for your blood, the Colorado Redline edition will be available later this year, likely with a lower price point than the off-road focused ZR2.
