The C6 Corvette in base form isn’t much of a rarity. But does changing the body style warrant a price tag more than double the price of a used C6 Corvette? The 2012 Perana Z-One apparently thinks so.
It’s reportedly rare to find one of these machines since the vehicle changed names shortly after production began. Perana and AC Cars Group went in on producing the Z-One only to change its name very shortly after to the AC 378 GT. Still, at the end of the day, it’s a C6 Corvette.
The same 6.2-liter LS3 V8 engine and six-speed automatic transmission are present, wrapped around a bulbous exterior akin to a Zagato Ferrari 575 GTZ. The rear pulls the styling off more so than the wide, awkward front end.
As Jalopnik reports, used C6 Corvettes are currently going for around $43,000 with ultra low miles. That pales in comparison to the $125,999 price tag placed on this Perana Z-One. But, we’re sure the right, niche buyer will come along. They always do.
