If you were hoping to get your hands on a Hennessey Venom GT, we’re sad to report the hyper car has officially exited production. But, if you were in attendance at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction, there was a slim chance you could get your hands on one still.
Steven Tyler’s personal 2012 HPE Venom GT Spyder, with its 1,244 hp 7.0-liter LS7 V8 engine, crossed the auction block, finished in all black everything. It’s number five of 12 built, and the first of the Spyder variants to enter production.
The 2012 Venom GT was brought forth with no reserve, and that didn’t stop it from garnering a lofty sum. The hammer went down to see the Venom GT out the door at a whopping $800,000. Even better news, each and every dollar went to charity.
Janie’s Found, created by Tyler and in partnership with Youth Villages, has a goal to help heal girls that have been abused and suffered trauma from toxic scenarios.
So, the new owner has received one hell of a hellish ride, and helped out an incredible cause. It sounds like a win-win to us.

What was the selling price originally?
From the cobra in the Rag Doll video to this beast, Tyler always has had good taste in cars.. Looking forward to his next monster. Nice to see the proceeds went to charity.
