Hennessey Revamps 2017 Camaro ZL1 With HPE750 Package: Video

Oh how I’ve been longing to see dyno pull videos of the highly-anticipated 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1. There’s been a lot of hype surrounding this car, and for good reason. It’s the most powerful Camaro to have ever been produced, dashing to 60 miles per hour in 3.5 seconds, and blazing the quarter-mile in 11.4 seconds.

Yes, numbers are just numbers. And here we have Hennessey Performance making those already big numbers even bigger. By enhancing the ZL1 with its HPE750 package, the tuner brought the power output up to 632 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels.

As Jason Hanes, the senior calibration engineer at HPE explains, the results showed more than just an increase in peak power. The engine produced about 100 more ponies and about 80 more lb-ft of torque throughout a majority of the RPM range, specifically from 3,000 RPM and up.

What we’d really like to see is just how much quicker this ZL1’s times are compared to the aforementioned 0-60 and quarter-mile times of a stock ZL1.

A car-loving millennial. We Are!
